Vjeran Pavlaković is a Professor of History and Cultural Studies at the University of Rijeka (Croatia). He received his PhD from the University of Washington and has published on memory politics in Southeastern Europe, transitional justice in the former Yugoslavia, and Yugoslav volunteers in the Spanish Civil War. His current research focuses on graffiti and murals as sites of memory, and the history of Dalmatian immigrants in Arizona.
